New oil in the old way There is a great deal of interest in the history of the railways in many parts of the world. This can be seen not least of all in the rail museums that attract plenty of visitors, especially during the busy summer months. One of these rail museums, Upsala-Lenna Jernväg, is in Roslagen, where among other things they run a steam train between Uppsala and Faringe. A little while ago Nynas was contacted by the association that runs the railway. They needed a few litres of transformer oil for point motors and booms (dating back to the 30s and 50s respectively) – although not for electrical insulation as you might expect, but as a lubricant. It turned out that the Nytro10XN product satisfies all the demands made of the oil. So Nynas decided to donate oil to the rail museum. This means that the train can keep rolling this season as well, to the great delight of all rail enthusiasts.
