"Do it right or get a bill!" Situated in the small community of Dzierz.oniów in southern Poland is one of the Selena group's twelve factories. Here they make silicon sealants, adhesives and primers. George Rams is Managing Director and is responsible for the group's manufacturing and marketing, which takes place through a subsidiary called Libra. "We've been using Nynas oils for five years," says Rams. "After initial testing we found that Nynas products are of a very high and consistent quality. This makes it possible for us to produce the repeatable quality that our customers require." "What we are looking for in Nynas oils is stability in the technical parameters and colour. If the colour of the oil changes, then the colour of the end product changes too, which is totally unacceptable. At the same time we are dependent on the oil's ability to dissolve other additives." For Rams it is of utmost importance that he can rely on his suppliers' products. "Some of our customers have extremely high demands, for example window manufacturers in Norway and Finland. So for us it's a matter of getting it absolutely right, or you supply once, and then get a bill for the damage you have caused!"Rams appreciates the technical support he receives from Nynas. "When we are going to develop a new product we invite the Nynas representative, Piotr Sokól, to come along and brainstorm together with our R&D department. We are more than willing to take advantage of our suppliers' know-how, it's unnecessary to do a job that's already been done. Should he get stuck, he just makes a few calls and gets back to us with the information within a few hours at most. And that is an aspect of Nynas' service that we truly appreciate."
