High solvency and good polymer compatibility

Naphthenic oils offer two key properties in the production of rubber compounds: high solvating power and good compatibility with both natural and synthetic polymers. The advantages are many: reduced compounding time, higher oil loadings, good mechanical and non-staining properties.

Naphthenic oils are also used as plasticisers in certain adhesives. Nynas Naphthenics can supply oils of different viscosities in accordance with FDA (b).
