Nynas has started the first truck deliveries of bitumen from the Harburg refinery, located close to Hamburg, Germany.
The first bitumen delivery took place on 31 August from one of four loading bays, which will all be fully operational during the coming weeks completing the planned capacity of this new facility.
"The new truck loading in Harburg is an important addition to our existing supply point network.", says Mario Jentzsch, Sales Manager Nynas Western Europe.
The vacuum distillation tower at the refinery is now also operational and successfully producing bitumen to specification. Together with the truck loading facility these investments will be important additions to Nynas' supply network and their commitment to bitumen in the future.
The aim is to provide a wide range of penetration bitumen. An inline blending system will also enable Nynas to produce a comprehensive portfolio of Regular, Extra, and Premium products from within the Nynas Performance Programme.
