Nynas at Surfex 2016

It’s time for the UK’s leading coatings event of the year. Of course, Nynas will be there.

Attracting over 2,000 experts from all over Europe, the 2016 edition of Surfex will be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham on 24-25 May.

“Surfex 2016 will be on another level to previous events, with more visitors than ever thanks to the European Technical Coatings Congress, which takes place at the same time,” said Tom Bowtell, Chief Executive of BCF, the trade association for the UK coatings industry.

Nynas will be present at Surfex, not least through a presentation by Anna Eriksson, Technical Manager Chemical Industry. In addition to discussing the latest changes in the refining landscape affecting process oils, she will talk about choosing a process oil with the best characteristics to match expected functional properties in a wide range of coating formulations.

“Different mineral oils can have similar viscosity, look the same, smell the same and yet have very different properties,” noted Anna Eriksson. “Choosing the right type of oil for different coating applications is crucial as it can optimize performance, facilitate the production process and also result in significant cost improvements in terms of energy consumption and marketability.”

Don’t miss Anna Eriksson’s presentation “Oil chemistry and process oil properties in coatings applications” at seminar centre hall 8, NEC Birmingham, May 25, 2pm.

Throughout Surfex, you’ll be able to meet Nynas representatives at Brenntag’s booth in hall 8, stand C10.
