Nynas at the premier event for tribology research and lubrication engineering

On 21-25 May almost 1,500 lubrication professionals from 37 countries gathered in Atlanta to attend the 72nd STLE Annual Meeting & Exhibition.

The conference programme included no fewer than 508 technical presentations as well as panel discussions on both technical and market trends.In parallel there was also a large exhibition where visitors could study the latest products and services from over one hundred companies.   

Among the speakers was Professor Thomas Norrby from Nynas. He presented no fewer than three different technical papers. One of these dealt with the oxidation stability of base oil blends, while the others highlighted two aspects of metalworking fluids: neat oil stability, and the stability of cutting fluid emulsions based on naphthenic base oils.

Behind the results that Professor Norrby presented in Atlanta were many years of work by employees in Nynas’ R&D Department.
