Quality first

Service and product quality of the highest standard is a cornerstone of Nynas’ offering. Before our naphthenic oils are delivered to customers, they undergo a large number of analyses and controls in order to guarantee a top-performing end product.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF QUALITY CONTROLS

• Regular controls, for example during delivery of crude oil or production, when the product is still in the refinery. These controls are planned and are always the same. Extra testing is done if contaminations or other alterations of the oil are suspected.

• During production, the quality controls include more analysis parameters compared to after loadings or other product transfers.

• Transfer controls every time the product is moved from one place to another, for example ship and truck loadings or transfers between tanks in the depots. At every move, we control that the molecules have not been altered.

INDEPENDENT CONTROLLERS

Programme with independent quality inspectors who run the control program outside the company’s refineries, for example at depots. They inspect the product handling chain until the product reaches the customer, making sure that the product is handled according to Nynas’ instructions. We regularly assess the inspectors through audits and proficiency testing programmes. Audits and quality meetings are also carried out on a continuous basis at all depots used by Nynas.
