March 8th is celebrated around the world as International Women’s Day. At Nynas we value and depend upon the talent and dedication of the many women employees driving us forward in all areas of our business.
Dedicating one day in the calendar each year as a means of campaigning for gender equality, International Women's Day formally began in 1911. Today the event aims to mark the achievements of women in every part of society, while encouraging positive change for the future.
The theme for International Women's Day 2019 is balance for better, reinforcing the message that a more gender-balanced world, without bias, and offering opportunities for all, will mean a better future for everybody.
The ideas and themes raised on International Women's Day should continue to be addressed all year long, and Nynas aims every day to appreciate the enormous contribution of the many women leaders, influencers, and professionals working throughout the levels of our organisation across the world.
''Our highlighting and discussion of these important issues doesn't begin and end on International Women's Day,'' says Ewa Beskow, HR Director of Nynas.
''We will continue to make a difference for the future, by offering employment opportunities in our company to talented and driven women who want to work in a dynamic industry and help us continue to make Nynas successful,'' concludes Ewa.
