Freezing properties

NYFROST™ is a range of naphthenic oils developed to lubricate the compressors of ammonia-based refrigerators for uses such as industrial ice-making, cold storage in vending machines and transportation, and small residential condensing units.

Ammonia is a well-known refrigerant that is particularly applicable in large, industrial plants. It has a low boiling point and is highly energy-efficient with minimal environmental impact.

NYFROST™ is a range of naphthenic oils developed to lubricate the compressors of ammonia-based refrigerators for uses such as industrial ice-making, cold storage in vending machines and transportation, and small residential condensing units.

Available in viscosity grades (ISO VG 32, 46, 68 and 100), the oils are additive-free with excellent solvency properties, keeping possible contaminants in solution, while at the same time good low-temperature properties allow for secure oil flow at low evaporator temperatures.

NYFROST™ can also be used as a component in fully formulated refrigeration oils.
