A paper presented by the Nynas Competence Centre Antwerp examines how bitumen producers such as Nynas can contribute, through specific products and solutions, to the three pillars of sustainability: economic, ecological and social interests.
Since the UN commission Brundtland in 1987, sustainable development is described as : “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
This principle is based on three pillars :economical, ecological and social interests.
Also in modern road constructing, the question for more sustainable solutions is asked every day.
In this paper, we see how Nynas as a bitumen supplier can contribute to the questions related to these pillars by offering specific product and solutions.
