New and updated Eurobitume HSE documents

Eurobitume’s mission is to promote the efficient, safe use of bitumen. The HSE committee and its taskforces work actively to provide up to date guidance on safe use of bitumen.

The well-known Burn card was updated in 2014 and since then certain HSE documents have been updated and new once been prepared. 

  • The Eurobitume Safe Handling Cards have been updated to incorporate the latest expert advice and reflecting current regulations. The cards are available in 14 European languages.
  • A new H2S card been prepared to provide information on hazards and risks with H2S in bitumen emissions. The cards are available in 14 European languages.
  • A new Safety Shower Guidance has been published in several European languages. These guidelines provide uniform minimum considerations for the performance, use, installation and maintenance of emergency safety shower equipment at facilities where bitumen products are handled in bulk and at elevated temperature.
