Nynas supports new Brazilian tyre operations

Sumitomo Rubber do Brasil, an integral part of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. has just kicked off their tyre operations at their new factory in the city of Fazenda Rio Grande in the southern part of Brazil. The facilities are located within a half a million square meter land and about USD 300 million have been invested to build up a factory capable of delivering an output of approximately 15.000 tyres per day by 2015.

In October, Nynas met with Sumitomo’s Purchasing and Quality Assurance Departments to align important information for both companies aiming to comply with the expected volume growth in 2014.

Nynas cooperation with Sumitomo Rubber shows the importance of Nynas global structure as the whole process approval on Nytex 4700 tyre oil was conducted by Nynas Asia. Later on, Sumitomo Rubber visited Nynas do Brasil's local depot and learned more about the logistic system. The visit confirmed that their choice of tyre process oil supplier was the right one.
