Monitoring our business environment and keeping track of the priorities and commitments our customers make on sustainability gives us good guidance on where Nynas and our products can fit in and contribute.
In the area of sustainability, there are many ideas around how we can develop our products, knowledge and communication. Many of these are developed in joint projects with the rest of the organisation. Originally a chemical engineer, I have great fun combining technical product and application knowledge with new areas relating to sustainable development.
OUR PEOPLE ARE OUR GREATEST ASSET
The Nynas organisation harbours a lot of expertise, and we pride ourselves in being a partner rather than merely a product supplier to our customers. I oversee our competence transfer and training programmes to make sure that all our employees have adequate knowledge and skills for their positions.
CONTRIBUTING TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Nynas’ core, non-fuel products have long service lives and are wholly recyclable in some applications. They are not used as energy sources and their embodied carbon is therefore not released into the atmosphere during use. It is my ambition to make us better at discussing the benefits, especially from an end product life cycle perspective.
With two sons, and my husband and I both working full time, a lot of coordination and planning is needed to make all the special and everyday activities run smoothly. Alongside football training sessions and matches, we try to be fairly relaxed about things and prioritise what we all enjoy and can do together. It can be as simple as reading books.
