A fluid solution to meet the demand for silicone

As the media reports that global supply of silicone remains tight and continued strong demand drives up prices, silicone based product and sealant producers are looking for a cost-efficient and compatible alternative.

Nynas has developed a range of specially designed silicone fluid alternatives: NYFLEX® 8120, NYFLEX® 8005, and NYFLEX® 3011.

Although we primarily think of the construction industry as the main user of silicone, it forms an important part of a wide variety of applications: the manufacture of marine vessel, car, and aviation parts; healthcare and pharmaceutical products; electronic components; personal care and consumer products; and industrial processes, including lubricants and anti-foaming agents.

With overall production capacity unable to meet the market demand, raw material costs soaring over the last eighteen months, and prices increasing accordingly, Nynas' products represent a cost-efficient and high-quality option for helping to bridge the supply gap.

''Our NYFLEX® range of silicone fluid products ensure the highest compatibility, UV stability, and bacteria growth prevention,'' explains Ghislain de Quatrebarbes, Market Manager, Chemical Industry.

''With a tight supply straining the market and causing difficulties for many silicone sealant producers, we can provide a solution.''

More information about the NYFLEX® product range can be found in our Process Oils section, and Nynas' team of technical specialists are ready to help find the right solution for you www.nynas.com/en/contacts/
