Making a Difference

The social dimension is an important part of Nynas’ overall sustainability work. One expression of this is the company’s encouragement of employee-led initiatives that support local communities.

“Last year, our employees engaged in a wide range of voluntary and charitable activities, including food donations to local charities in South Africa, blood donations in several regions, and educational support for students through lectures and mentoring,” says Marika Rangstedt, Nynas Sustainability Manager.

Other initiatives included participation in Red Cross exercises, support for refugees and families in need, and environmental efforts such as planting to promote biodiversity.

Reflecting Nynas’ commitment to creating positive impact beyond the core business, these activities also serve to engage employees and strengthen team cohesion.

“Playing an active role in communities near our offices and operational sites goes hand in hand with our ambition to always be a good neighbour," adds Marika Rangstedt.
